There are several pickup games to be found in and around San Francisco.

Saturday Beach Ultimate
When: Saturday, 12:30pm, mostly from Oct- April
Description: 4on4 or 5on5, mini field beach game...wicked fun

San Francisco Lunchtime Pickup
When: Wednesdays, 12:15pm

Big Rec
When: Sundays, 3:00pm
Description: Arguably the most fun pickup in town.
Directions: In Golden Gate park at 7thand Lincoln.
This is a CASUAL game - no stall counts, no stack, that kind of casual. If you're looking for more competitive play, you should check out the other pickup opportunities. Like Oakland.

Sharon Meadow
When: April-Oct: Tues.- Thurs, 6:00 pm(frisbee time...be paitient)
Description: Beginner-friendly game

Directions: Located at the East end of Golden Gate Park, Sharon Meadow is visible from the intersection of Stanyan and Fell. S.M. is located between the playgound (and merry-go-round), the Tennis Courts, and "Hippie Hill" (listen for drums, sniff around for patchouli). Speedway Meadows
When: Saturday, 11:30 am or so to start
Description: Beginner-friendly game

Directions: Ultimate is on for Saturday morning at Speedway. enter Golden Gate Park at 30th & Fulton, turn left, then go straight for 200 yards. There are no signs for "Speedway", but it will be the large grass field on your right, across the street from the "Marx Meadow" sign on your left. Oak Tech, Oakland
When: Sundays around 2:00pm, Wednesdays 6:15pm
Description: intermediate-- this game is for experienced players or those who think they are.

When: Sundays at 11:00am in El Cerrito, Tuesdays 7:30pm in Albany (bring $3 to pay for the lights

East Bay Winter League Pickup
When:Friday nights December-February, 7-10 pm.

The story: The east bay winter league has open pickup on friday nights through Febuary. The lights are on from 7-10. Asking $2-3 per person who comes out to play. The fields are located just northeast of the intersection of Ashby and San Pablo.

New San Jose Pickup
When: Sunday mornings from 10 until 1pm.
Description: All levels, genders, and dispositions welcome.

Where: Wallenberg Park but the field is actually part of Willow Glen High School, next to the tennis courts. (It's all connected in a weird sort of way.) The address is Curtner Road and Cherry Street.

Greer Park Lunchtime, Palo Alto
When: M W F around 12:30pm
Description: Intermediate - this game is for players of all levels who think that they're advanced. Very reliable game. Last back both lines. Alternates are Seale Park and one other one in case of field closure.

Houge Park, San Jose.
When: Sundays 5pm – Dark (summer), 3pm-Dark (winter)
Description: All levels welcome, fairly laid back.

Lake Elizabeth Park, Fremont

Castro Valley High School Pickup
When: Every Sunday from 12-2.

Directions: Heading East on 580, you take Redwood Rd. exit,turn left, and go about 2 miles and it's on your left hand side. If heading West on 580 take E. Castro Valley Blvd. exit, take a left at the light, go approx. 6 signal lights to Redwood Rd., turn right, and go about a mile and the school will be on the left hand side.

Monterey Pickup
When: Wednesday evenings around 5:30 - times vary a little, see website.

Napa Pickup
When: Saturday, 9:30 am, Tuesday, 6:00 pm.

Directions:
-Coming north on 29 (from Valejo, Berkeley, Davis, etc.), take the first exit for Napa (and Lake Berryessa), and you will be on Soscol heading north. Go through downtown, and take a left on Pueblo about 3 to 4 miles after getting off RT 29. About a 1/4 mile down Pueblo, O'Brien Park will be on your left.
-Coming from SF and San Rafael, etc, find a map, and probably follow 101 north, take 37 east, 121, 12, and 29, and get off on Imola Ave heading east in Napa proper. Take a left on Jefferson (going north now), and follow this about 1 mile. Take a right on Pueblo. O'Brien park will be on the right after about a mile.
-For locals, O'Brien Park is located on Pueblo Ave, between Jefferson and Soscol streets.

Sonoma State/Santa Rosa Pickup
When: Sundays and Tuesdays at 7:00 pm
